Ice House Canyon Trail #198

Ice House Canyon Trail is one of the shortest descending trail on Pinal Mountain. While the actual trail is just over 2 miles long you can use many other trails/old roads to extend the ride by a good number miles depending on your bottom destination. Don't let its length detour you this trail holds the closest aspen stand to Phoenix and is much cooler during the summer months than many of the trails on Pinal Mountain. This trail drops at a pretty fast rate through aspens and pines as it makes it way down the canyon. At one mile you will need to make a decision to which way to go. Take the old Ice House canyon road or take Lower Telephone Trail. We prefer the later. Telephone is a great way to extend your journey towards Ice House CCC day use area.
