TGR Arizona Favorites
Trail #47 Gold Ridge - 5.8 mile
2700ft descent
This hidden gem was discovered and promoted by early TGR members for its close proximity to the valley and the 2700ft elevation loss. This was overlooked by many because of its close proximity to the Mazatzal Wilderness and being one of the only trails in the area outside its boundary. Today it remains largely lightly used but a renewed interest has brought this gem back into the light and with that some increasing use by mountain bikers. Best done as a shuttle.
